With over 35 years of experience across insurance, securities, and banking, Steven is a trusted advisor, board member, and industry leader who has successfully closed more than 600 transactions totaling billions in value.
As a public company director, Steven plays a key role in guiding public company strategy, corporate governance, and capital planning. His expertise extends to serving on multiple boards and committees, where he helps organizations navigate complex financial landscapes and execute growth strategies.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and seasoned investment banker, Steven’s career spans leadership roles as CFO, COO, and Managing Director at prominent firms, where he has driven business transformation, operational efficiency, and strategic growth.
Today, Steven leads TAG Financial from its New York headquarters, advising clients worldwide on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and long-term value creation. Alongside his professional work, he and his wife founded Tu Lucha (“Your struggle” in Spanish), a family office dedicated to empowering underserved youth through the sport of boxing. Through Tu Lucha, they support gyms that provide safe, structured environments where young people can learn discipline, resilience, and essential life skills. The initiative has even sponsored amateur athletes as they transitioned into professional boxing careers, reflecting Steven’s belief in giving back and creating opportunities for the next generation.
